The tournament was previously known as the Intervarsity Chinese Debate Tournament, Singapore-Malaysia Open. It is organized by the NTU Chinese Society. Rated as the top four International Chinese Debate Tournaments by netizens over the world, the tournament is back in its 9th year, inspiring Singaporean students to join the discussions of public issue through speaking Mandarin.
