In support of the Speak Mandarin Campaign, the Singapore Media Academy started the Mandarin Nurturing Course under the Little School of Big Dreamers to provide a platform to promote Mandarin to children and their parents.

Mandarin Nurturing Course 2008 (中文培育课程)

Duration: 1.5 hours per lesson

Description:

Incorporating EDUTAINMENT into our unique media-based programme, we help children realize their full potential through performing arts such as music, dance and drama. The programme also facilitates language learning in an innovative way, infusing energy and fun in all its lessons which cover social etiquette, language pronunciation, self-expression, language games, art appreciation and new media content creation.

Fun with Mandarin! 中文假期班

Age limit: 6 to 12 only

A 3-day introductory course specially designed for children aged 6-12 years old, to learn Mandarin through an exciting and fun curriculum.

Description:

Synopsis: This programme is conducted in an interactive, hip and vibrant way in which the language can be better appreciated. This “camp” focuses on the fundamental skills of Mandarin language learning through observation and imitation to achieve the following objectives:

+ Expression and Intonation

(For lower primary, i.e. Primary 1 to 3; children aged 6-9 years old)

+ Creativity and Vitality

(For upper primary, i.e. Primary 4 to 6; children aged 10-12 years old)
