The Speak Mandarin Campaign is not an institution or learning centre. The campaign itself does not conduct courses but we work with many partner organisations who are specialists in teaching Mandarin to children and adults.

These organisations provide their expertise in teaching:

• Basic, Intermediate and Advance Mandarin
• Business communication
• Storytelling and Reading
• Speech and Drama

I would like to improve my Mandarin. How can I do so?

Learning Mandarin, or any language for that matter, takes time and practice.

One of the most effective ways is to immerse yourself in a Mandarin-speaking environment.

For example, if you want to improve your Mandarin, be around people who speak Mandarin well. This means, you will be able to:

• learn how words are pronounced
• increase your vocabulary
• build your confidence as you interact more with them.

The key is to listen to and speak more Mandarin. The more you speak, the better you'll get.

Every individual have different needs so we also suggest that you:

Can you recommend programmes to me that are suitable for my child/myself? Where can I go for them?

The Speak Mandarin Campaign co-organises or supports programmes and events that help promote Mandarin.

There are many organisations in Singapore that offer courses and programmes for people to improve their command of the Chinese language. Course fees typically vary according to the level, frequency and duration of the course.
